We Are Strong by Danny B. Bourg
The day is on the horizon, America's darkest hour Sunlight fills the space, where a landmark twice did tower 9-11, I still see you all the time Every day the tick-tock of my clock does wind
It takes a toll the weight, of harvesting the pain When America was pelted, by falling rain But, we showed the world, united are we In the face of fear it was evident, on 93
On our front row of defense, ever so brave The structures of power, did cave The heart of America, lost its beat As chaos, took over her streets
Imagine the stares, out that window of horror When they knew in their hearts, there would be no tomorrow How desperate a time, to consider in one breath To take the jump, on an easier death
When I feel these images, my eye still wets Not lost in vain, are their deaths I hurt for the families, prayers in the wind May God heal your hearts, Amen
As a nation in crisis, we proved we are strong We have been doing this, our whole life long No matter the obstacle, or whatever the toll It is our motto, let's roll
