The Tears Fell by Danny B. Bourg

I remember it like yesterday, the day peace ended

It happened so fast, with no way of defending

Where were you standing on that tragic day?

When horror, made the buildings sway

I remember praying, for the lives falling fast

It was a nightmare, that didn't want to pass

I was at work, the tears on my face they ran

When I heard the news, a plane hit the towers span

9-11, I see you all the time

The digital numbers, as the clock does wind

Everyday, I'm reminded of the hurt

Why must these things, happen here on earth?

Dear God please continue, to strengthen those who loss

Their love ones, the precious souls who paid the cost

May this nation, move on but never forget

The heroes and victims, on our every breath

I remember like yesterday, 1030 days on the hour

By a planes attack, times two went down the tower

Dearest America, how we went through hell

A flag rose high, and the tears fell
