Sincere Regrets
by
Guy Belleranti
Maury the hen-pecked apologetic man
Put into action his wife-murdering plan.
His eyes all a-glitter,
His nerves all a-twitter
He shoved the wrong woman
‘Neath the wheels of a van.
Said mortified Maury, as they led him away,
"Darn, I messed up again." And that's all he would
say.
