Too Hard To Handle
by Danny B. Bourg
You killed my son,
when he called your name
With open arms he ran, what a shame
Into death, when he was so happy to see
His father, who just couldn't let it be
How dare you take, his precious life
When you couldn't handle me, not being your wife
It wasn't working, we had to end
But we could have left it, as being friends
It wasn't what you wanted, you let it show
I know loves hurts, when letting go
With all we've been through, wasn't there another way?
To tell us goodbye, and not ruin our day
I fight my hate, sometimes hard to be done
The tears fall so free, missing our son
I watched him fade, the shadow of death
With the word daddy, still on his breath
You took more than his life, in your rage
Like a killer animal, let out of a cage
If I saw you face to face, I'm scared of what I'd do
But that is kinda hard, you took my life too
